Had an earlier model of this Braun shaver that finally gave up the ghost. Actually it is still running, but not well. So I decided to do some research and see what else was out there. Man, sticker shock. The latest models were running over $200.00. Not going to do that so I went with refurbished model. Mainly because I liked my other one a lot. This one is a lot more quiet than my other one. Replacement parts are still available in many places. It does a pretty good job, but no electric is as good as a blade so I follow up quickly with a blade. I clean the shaver before every shave, so I don't need all that hardware that came with the original shaver. Comes with a plug in charger. Battery life is about a week for me. When these batteries wear out, I will replace them with a set I've put in my other shaver and get about two weeks run on them. I'm happy with this shaver. Has a nice screen indicating battery life. And if available, I may do this the next time as well. -- Braun 7680 Electric Shaver
Have used Braun shavers for some time and have been very satisified with all. The 7680 refurbished arrived in good as new condition and has worked perfectly. -- Great shaver
When I bought the new Braun 7680 Shaver about three years ago, the manual says that the rechargable battery would be good for three to five years. Recently the battery started to perform abnomally. I decided to purchase a refurbished one of the same model when I had a trip to go. Unfortunately after four times it was used with about three minutes for each time, the battery was dead. I am very disappointed at it because I totally unexpected this to happen. I suspect that they did not change the battery when they refurbished it.
Of course now I want to know if the battery is new for the refurbished device. I will not buy it if the battery is not replaced with a new one. -- Bad battery
I bought the Braun 7680 refurbished even after being a little bit concerned with the number of refurbished units available.
I now can understand why the shavers were returned.
This is my second attempt to use an electric razor. I had one years ago but It did not give me the shave I desired and I went back to a regular razor.
This shaver is incpable of cutting whiskers after a three day growth. I go over spots where I might have missed during my last shave without being able to cut them. I thought that the 7000 series would be outstanding but this particular model failed the test.
I thought of returning the shaver but I did not and I don't remember your return policy.
I have seen ads on TV showing a man with a growth of probably 5-7 days cutting right through with a 3000 series. I wonder if this is true or just a staged event.
I would appreciate any assistance you may be able to give me on this problem.
Thomas D. Mc Nulty -- Very disapointed
Great razor. For the price it can not be beat. I don't see how a $250 could be better. very close shave. Cool design. -- great razor
