User Reviews

The product did not work when received. I did not return it because I already had one and was able to use the parts off of the new one to make the old one operational. -- Didn't work
First thing you should know is that it needs to recharged every other day and the charge indicator doesn't work. The second thing is that it is too big and bulky for travel. It does a fairly decent shave once you get use to it. But I prefer a rotary 3 floating heads type of shaver for a closer and neater shave around the neck. I bought this simply for the price and curiosity of a foil type shaver. Oh well. -- Not as good as a Remington Rotary Shaver
After using Remington electric razors close to 60 years, many models and shapes, I had my last US built razor fail. (Battery) I only use micro screen model razors. I need a travel razor for all types electric current supply and this model looked to fit the bill. Yes, it does the job; but I find it very light, awkward to hold, and the instructions concerning lights toally inaccurate. To shave with the cord attached goes back to the razors of the early days, only worse; because then the cord was straight and long and now it is short and curled. Yes I have to use it plugged in, due to suddenly without warning, the battery goes dead with green light still showing. All those lights are unnecessary, a simple low battery indicator would be better. My last model sat in the always plugged in charger and I never had to worry about it not being charged, until it's age gave out. It was close to 20 years in operation, and screen/blade were still obtainable, I even replaced the screen head with new parts 2 years ago. Having to charge the F-720 by direct plug-in is very inconvenient.

My opinion is Remington has now gone Chinese cheap; but it shaves very smooth and considering the price of a replacement screen and blade could be considered a throw-away when that time comes. -- New verses Old Remington Razors (F-720 vice XLR3000C)
This is the closest shave I have ever gotten from an electric shaver. I have been using a Braun but I decided they were getting a bit too high in price and lower in quality when I looked for a replacement. -- So far so good. Best electric shaver I've used.
I bought this because it was on sale, for a backup, and a chance to try a "decent" oscillating/foil electric razor.

These just don't compare to the rotaries. I started out with a Norelco rotary as a teen, have owned another Philips/Norelco rotary, and currently own a Remington three head rotary.

Whether you shave every day, or have a longer beard, this just doesn't compare to any of the above three. It is not as close, *even with dull blades on my current rotary*, takes a long time to mow down any left over longer hairs-- having to go over and over to catch them just right.

Next purchase, I'm back to a rotary. I believe the Norelco/Philips is the best brand. Remington rotary batteries have had a much shorter charge life. -- First oscilating electric after rotaries all my life
