I have never had an electric razor that actually worked. I still do not. I have only used it once but after trying for some time to grt a close shave I gave up. I would never recommend this shaver. -- bad shave
This razor seems to shave closer than my usual rotary razors but it does seem to have trouble with my neck, especially with the occasional hair that lays down sideways and doesn't stand up.
My major beef with this razor, and I guess it would be any microscreen razor, is the noise. I live with others that don't get up as early as I do and I found myself worrying about waking them up with this razor because it's so insanely loud.
That's why I returned it. If that's not your concern, then it is a good choice.
-- Shaves close but rediculous loud
I was very disappointed with my first purchase from Amazon. The Remington shaver that I received was defective and since you don't accept items that have been opened, I has to resort to sending the shaver to Remington for a replacement which they did, it wasn't an exact replacement but I satisfied with it.
I will defintely think twice about ordering a product from Amazon again.

8-23-10 -- electric shaver
Only the third shaver I've owned but by far is the best. Single charge lasts all week. Closer shave than any shaver I've owned before. It is a little louder than my other shavers, and I've seen that it's been complained about. But unless you really care about it, I can't reduce the ratings. FIVE STARS! -- Great shaver
This is a great razor! I found that the microscreen was not as fragile as previous models - replacements are expensive.
However, after several months, the pop-up trimmer would not stay down. I got it down to stay but now it is permanently down. I have an earlier model that I use for trims.
This week the MS2 390 quit charging. It won't run and won't charge. It's dead. Remington has discontinued this model and I cannot get it replaced because I did not save my online sales receipt.
I'm dead now, have three old, unusable Remington microscreen shavers - and none work. -- Great - but discontinued
