I USED NORELCO ROTARY RAZORS SINCE 1955. MY LAST NORELCO JUST DID NOT DO THE JOB. IT SEEMED TO RUN AT ONLY ABOUT HALF SPEED. I CONTACTED NORELCO AND THEY BASICALLY TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO LEARN HOW TO USE A NORELCO AND IT WAS PROBABLY MY IMAGINATION. THEY WOULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. THEY DID NOT CARE WHEN I TOLD THEM I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NORELCO. I PURCHASED THIS REMINGTON AND FROM THE VERY FIRST SHAVE IT WAS BETTER THAN ANY NORELCO I OWNED FOR THE LAST 40 YEARS. VERY NICE RAZOR. NICE CLOSE SHAVE AND FAST. -- EX NORELCO USER
I was a Norelco man for quite some time. My wife started me off on my first one maybe eight years ago. I used the first one for a while, it even still works, but subsequent ones just didn't really seem to be as good as that first one. I decided to just get a cheap one to get by for maybe six months so I bought a Remington R845. I was very impressed by the brand. I didn't use any of the optional lubrication sprays or anything on it and really no oil for the side burn trimmer because I never use that feature. That razor lasted me about 9 months before it recently started irritating my skin a little, so I went looking for a replacement and got this razor.
What's the point of that story? Well, I haven't had this one that long so it's my best projection at how long this razor will last me. I'm actually a little more optimistic that because it's washable the blades will stay cleaner and I can get a full year out of it. I should point out that this is obviously not a top of the line razor you'd get for a hundred dollars, but it's no bottom rung either.
The only things that bother me a little are that it seems less powerful than the last one I had and it has some problems trimming the hair right under my nose for some reason. Remington seems to be really good about holding a battery charge. My last one went weeks between charges. I've charged this one once and after using it regularly for about a month I think it read 60% of capacity this morning. If you have sensitive skin, its got a handy little switch to make the blades not cut so close, which is a nice touch.
Considering I only paid about $28 for the thing and how much money I'll save not buying razor blades every few weeks or using shaving cream, not to mention the time savings, I'm a happy camper.

I've now had it a little over three months and charged it 3-4 times. The blade gets a little weak at 40% and below, but it's got pretty decent battery life. I'll likely replace with another Remington when this one wears out. Both this and my old Remington R-845 have performed well and at a fraction of the cost of other razors. -- Great for the Price
my husband is happy with his new shaver as it is light weight shaves close and is very portable. -- nice shaver
My husband used this razor once, and he had a horrible rash. Seller did email me after I told him what happened and said he would let me return it for a stocking fee. Don't know how much that will be as I have not heard from them. Getting a little worried that I might not get the refund. -- Caused horrible rash.
I bought one of these one year ago to replace a norelco triple header. I had been a faithful Norelco user for 40 years. Their new razors however turn at a greatly reduced speed making the shaving process very long. Plus the razors have to be recharged after only one or two shaves. I am very happy with the Remmington, so much so I recommended it to my father who was complaining about his Norelco. He has had his Remington about a month and is very pleased. I found it takes about two weeks for your face to get used to the Remmington, agter that it's smooth shaving. -- GREAT RAZOR
